We are here for women and girls over 13 who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their lives. We are for all women including, but not limited to, women who identify as Lesbian, Bi, Trans and/or Questioning; Black, Minority Ethnic and Refugee women; and disabled women. Our definition of women-only includes Trans women and non-binary people who identify that women’s services are right for them.

Cygnus Support

Northumberland County Council’s website gives information about domestic abuse and sexual violence and links to support sites for both domestic and sexual violence.

Escape Family Support

Escape is a charitable organisation who work county-wide across Northumberland with anybody affected by drugs and alcohol. Their services include counselling, group work, creative sessions, education. Telephone: 0770 283 3944

The Angelou Centre

A black led women’s organisation providing specialist services to women in the North East of England. The Angelou Centre’s work includes, but is not limited to, information and guidance, outreach, groups, services, training, and volunteer opportunities. They provide individual support for women, education, childcare assistance, employability guidance, citizenship guidance and a helpful environment where women can support each other. REACH: Sexual Assault Referral Centre

Offers helps to women and men who have been raped or sexually assaulted, aged 16 or over when the assault occurred. R.E.A.C.H is able to offer; access to a forensic medical examination (regardless of whether a person chooses to report to the police), practical support from an ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor) and counselling. Relate Tyneside and Northumberland

Tyneside & Northumberland Mind

Tyneside & Northumberland Mind exists to promote positive mental health, providing flexible, responsive and sustainable support services. We put people first by involving service users, carers and local community. Rape Crisis England & Wales

National charity and the umbrella body for our network of independent member Rape Crisis organisations.

On the Rape Crisis England & Wales Website website you will find: information about how to get help if you’ve experienced sexual violence, including details of your nearest Rape Crisis organisation; information for friends, partners, family and other people supporting or wanting to help a sexual violence survivor; more information about rape and other forms of sexual violence, including reports and stats that might be of use and interest to students, journalists etc.

The national office for the Rape Crisis movement in Scotland. The website provides information about; where survivors of sexual violence can get support in Scotland, the Rape Crisis Scotland helpline and email support services and information about Rape Crisis Scotland’s Campaigns.

Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland

Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland offers, confidential services for women and girls 13+ who live work or study in Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Sunderland. Rape Crisis offer counselling, group work, Practical and Emotional Support and a helpline service.
